Undisputed titans of the heavy unveil the first single from their upcoming EP ‘Call of the Void’ due for release on the 14th of June. Recorded by Nico Beninato at Spain’s Kimera Recordings, with parts also recorded by John Hinde at Manchester’s Futureworks Studios and guitarist Sam Yates, the finished article was mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson (known for his work with Cryptopsy and Beneath the Massacre) at the Montreal’s The Grid.
In speaking on the upcoming EP, drummer Lyn Jeffs commented that, ‘Our new EP isn't just material for materials sake or a stop gap between albums, this is something we feel is an important evolution in our style and is a piece of music that will again transcend the genre of slam.
Continuing, ‘we feel immensely proud of The Call Of The Void, it is something we have worked hard on to develop while on the road so much of 2018. It is darker, riff-heavy and atmospheric but still has all the ingredients that make Ingested what it is’.
